Grandeur Greatness

All year long I yearn to have the three or four weeks of true fall essence all around me. I’m talking about the crisp air, leaves changing colors, layering décor in our home, longer mornings, and warm drinks. All these aspects make for what I think is the most romantic, charming, and beautiful season of all. 

I’ve been especially excited for this the 2021 Fall season because we have spent much of the year adding big elements to our home like the hardwood floors, built ins, fireplace and most recently, front door. As many of you know, the built ins and the fireplace were projects that we just rolled with the punches-as in we didn’t plan much for them and just went with it until they were done. But the door has been an element we knew needed to be addressed and soon. Being a constant eye sore with the stark white paint and mid-century design in our cottage-esque home, we knew we wanted to switch it out by the beginning of our favorite season.

During our planning of what door we wanted, we knew that we needed hardware that would accentuate the door, while having the beauty to stand out on its own. After using and loving one of the Regal Brands doorknobs for our built ins, Nostalgic Warehouse, we looked to the other products to see if any of their options fit our vision. 

Funny enough, while we had a specific idea of what we were looking for, their options were plentiful and gorgeous making it hard to narrow down! But after pouring through the entry sets, we decided that the Grandeur product line was the timeless look we hoped for. 

The day it arrived, you would have thought Ben and I were two kids in line for Disneyland. We were jumping up and down and going back and forth on who got it open the box- ha! Well, let me tell you, it was adult Disneyland. The packaging what beautiful and the entry set was in mint condition due to it being thoughtfully protected. The solid brass, detail work and weight makes an impress piece of hardware. 

Not only do we have the entry set we had envisioned all year long, but being solid brass, it will last for years, making it something that we will enjoy for many falls to come.
